First Nations Inspection Authority (FNIA) provides technical services and accredited residential, commercial, and industrial inspections for new and existing infrastructure and development projects across Canada.

FNIA is a rare voice in the housing and commercial development sector, advocating for higher quality standards for on-reserve homes and buildings to ensure they meet the same minimum health, safety, and performance codes and compliance as those required for off-reserve developments.
Accredited Inspection Services
FNIA is authorized to provide building, electrical, gas, plumbing, and safety inspections for clients operating in the residential, commercial, oil and gas, and utilities sectors. We invest in long-term relationships, assist our non-Indigenous partners in reaching goals for reconciliation and procurement, and work alongside our First Nation partners to improve quality and safety standards for both existing and new homes and building developments in their communities.
Reconciliation & Procurement
The Truth & Reconciliation Commission’s Call-to-Action 92 put in motion a historic opportunity for businesses to engage in meaningful reconciliation with policies and practices that support increased Indigenous economic inclusion and create space for Indigenous worldviews. True reconciliation goes beyond checking a box or meeting Indigenous procurement quotas, it offers a valuable opportunity to advance reconciliation in a way that is measurable, sustainable and far-reaching.
